I want my baby back, baby back, baby back..
SO, this is my excited post. I've been without my car for 8 months now and I miss it desperatley. I'm going to get at it tommorow but I'm a little scared about what I'm looking at here. This is what I pulled out when I took the valve cover off: ![]() I'm scared but I was so fucking happy to see my car again I was just jumping around it and singing and acting like a total idiot. I love it so much.

I was going nuts.
86hp and a 4 speed auto is a LOT different than 160hp and 5 speed. And an all round more fun/stylish car. |

Who the fuck abreviates "valve"? Nice shreded timing belt, shouldnt be more than a weekend job, bent valves are no biggie if you bet a few. Maby you got lucky though.

Re: I want my baby back, baby back, baby back..
AK! So, I took it all apart today.. Getting the tensioner belt off is a major PITA. Anyway, the water pump was leaking so I have to pick one of those up before I'll be able to find out if the valves are damaged.

Re: I want my baby back, baby back, baby back..
The really sucky part?! I can't fucking find a water pump that fits!!
I've looked at 97 Del Sol VTEC, 99 SiR, I went to Honda and we looked at every single water pump he had (12 of them!), 91 Teg, 91 Civic. I'm fresh out of ideas and up shit creek without a paddle. |

Re: I want my baby back, baby back, baby back..
its always best to replace the waterpump when doing a timing belt anyway since you are in there already. wont a water pump from a 00 si work?
