Question Need help with clutch

Today i was driving my car in town and i heard a strange scraping sound. Like two metal objects scraping against each other. Well i think i found out a few yards away. I tried to drive it to my cousin's but all of a sudden it just stalled on me. I was going about 15 mph. After I pulled over I found out my car was stuck on 5th gear even on neutral. I put it in 1st and just revs same in the others. It runs but usually turns of because its in 5th. Thanks for your help.

Okay so this is just a thought but have you checked the linkage under that car to make sure that the shifter is still connected to the trans??? Cuz that would make sense. If not this could be an expensive fix. I was just browsing questions and noticed no1 answered you and I thought I would give it a shot. So I would check all that linkage underneath and see what you come up with. Good Luck!

Re: Need help with clutch

Thanks for caring. But I checked everything and all was well untill I checked the oil drain plug and it was missing! So now I have to get me another tranny. I ordered it from Risingsunengines.com for $689.00 shipped. So now all I can do is wait for it to get to my door step then all hell will break loose.
