I have an `01 Windstar and every year when the air is warm I will get a noise that I believe is caused by the weather stripping getting soft and acting like a reed in an instrument. I only get the noise when it's a warm day and I'm going about 60-70mph. It's not a constant sound and it can also be brought on when I meet a semitruck or a sudden gust of wind. Has anyone else experienced this and found a way to stop it?

Re: Driver door or windshield wind noise?
I try to keep the jambs clean and the seals lubricated with silicone spray. You're reminding me that its due.
The plastic windschield cowling is also a noise maker ... make sure the trailing edge lip piece is in place. |
