1994 Z28?

I was looking through an Auto Mart resently and saw a '94 Z28 in there. It's red with alloy wheels. The add says less than nothing about it, so from here on is guessing. I'm going to say it's automatic, because they SHOULD have said it was manual if it was. Also, if it didn't have T-tops would the roof be body colored? Because this one has black roof, no mention of T-tops and the picture is too small to see. Looks like it though.

So anyways, on to the most in portant part, it's $6,990 $105/month. Sound good? Let me know guys, advice welcome, just bear in mind I have only seen it in a book.

try talking him down unless its really low mileage(like under 40k?). if it is a hardtop then it will have a black roof. automatic isn't necessarily bad, ive got one and it's plenty of fun to get in trouble.

i got a near perfect condition(mechanically fine, mostly small paint imperfections and a small rip in the seat) automatic 1994 Z28 hardtop for $2200 with 190k miles on it. runs awesome. look harder.

Re: 1994 Z28?

This is the cheapest Lt-1 within 200 miles of me. And it doesn't sound that bad, considering I would be planning on getting a cam, exhaust and whatnot anyways a new head gasket wouldn't be over the top.

Please look and tell me what you guys think.

Re: 1994 Z28?

dont get the green one, its fucked up. believe me you dont want a camaro that has mysterious problems. my car has 153K on it and it doesn't do any crazy shit like that, and that one only has 120. dont get the green one.

that red one is pretty moderately priced, probably still could talk them down.

Re: 1994 Z28?

It may not have T-tops because the early fourth gens had black roofs from the window sill up. However i would say the chances are high its a T-top. i also agree to go with the red one over the green one, and to talk down the price.

yes. on a camaro specific forum(PM me if you'd like the address) ive read that many people have high mileage engines. one guy is pushing 260,000 miles. as long as you take care of it(and the previous owners!), it will take care of you... just not necessarily your wallet when you're at the pump, you'll learn quickly that accellerating like a bat out of hell will like cut your gas mileage in half LOL.

Re: 1994 Z28?

It can get that high of mileage, but after 100,000 there will be some trouble....its enevitable.

Yeah, I expect that. My dad holds firmly to the beleif that US made cars/engines are only built to last around 150,000 miles.

Re: 1994 Z28?

my IROC is running 150,000 miles on it, and there aint a darn thing wrong with it that isnt directly related to neglect and poor treatment from the prior owner. still has great compression, gets great gas mileage, and drives fine. Only failure was the tranny that i was gonna rebuild anyway. and the engine needs a timing chain replacement. Cars will last forever if you take care of em.

Re: 1994 Z28?

Red one looks good and it appears to have a T-Roof too. The one picture shows a split in the window seal. Interior looks great so I would test drive it and talk him down a bit.
