"It's time once again to reach into the back seat and open the valves on the nitrous oxide tanks. Universal Pictures has chosen filmmaker Justin Lin to direct a third "Fast and the Furious" film, telling him to put the pedal to the metal and begin shooting in the fall... ...The street-racing sequel transplants the franchise to Japan, where the underground world of racing customized rides will yield the story of Shaun Boswell, an American skilled in the world of illegal street racing. Targeted by local authorities, Boswell escapes to Japan and discovers drift racing — a lightning-fast, gravity-defying pursuit set on intense courses full of hairpin turns and switchbacks. When he loses his first race to a Japanese crime lord, Boswell must figure out a way to pay off his debt to the Japanese mafia. There are no actors currently attached, and series stars Paul Walker and Vin Diesel will not be returning. The movie will screech into theaters on June 16, 2006"

Guess it is in fact too much to think that they'd try and do something legit for once in this series. Just going to be a bunch more riced out cars driving in circles through the entire movie. Maybe this time they'll have some Nissans with Honda motors. And it looks doubtful that they'll be any American car, so the American car owners won't be able to share our pain like in the 2nd movie.

It'll probably suck... but I'll go see it, and get the DVD. I'm a sucker for flashy colors and any import car...

Personally I thought the first one wasn't too bad. The second just plain out sucked. I guess being car enthusiast we pay more attention to the little things.

Man, that is hilarious!!! Especially this one...

Still not as bad as some of the APC rice we have here...

maybe some of these cars will be featured in the new movie...

dat would be mat tyte yo! Well this movie also sounds like it will suck but i'll still go see it. Its good entertainment, even if it is a bunch of ricers.

Yeah if its accually japaneese stuff, it will something horrid. Japaneese people have major pride, but no sence of style, so.... outsomes shitcicles like that. I didnt mind the first movie so much, as it was a movie. I wouldnt even classify the second one as a movie. But it will be great for us, because the price of hondas will go up again. Woot.

i cant wait till i start to see kids in a parking lot pulling the E brake

but i will say i might not be in to the import life if not for that first movie so i quess im no better then the kids to come just a bit older.

Same here, I hate ricers, but if it werent for f&f I wouldnt like imports. So I guess that movie did some good. It didn't take long for me to see that the cars on the movie were all rice rockets, but like I said it really did make me get into imports.

The first movie had the opposite effect on me. I wasn't into cars until far after the movie came out. The movie made me hate imports and cars in general even more. But once I started hanging out with my friend and being an extra set of hands while he did his H22a Civic swap, I realized there was another side of cars other than that ricer crap. That's actually how I came to this forum, looking for swap info; certainly not how to make my car look all "pretty".

It was a movie, didnt really have an effect on me either way, hated civics before the movie, hated civics after the movies, hated civics till I found mine on the side of the road cheep and it screamed good gas mileage, the rest is history... well kinda, its still in litigation
