Unhappy my poor motor

Well i dont know if anyone remembers my post about the knock in my grand am. Well i replaced the collapsed lifters..and started it up today...well it was more than collapsed lifters, because it ran making the same noise for about 10 minutes then the motor blew up . Im not sure what happened exactly, but im thinking it was something in the bottom end, like a spun bearing or something..but anyways my poor 2.4 is gone. Now i gotta find either a new car, or a 2.4/3.1 to put in my car.

Oh well, i look at it as it was gunna blow up anyways, so at least i tried to fix it.

Holy shit Justin! I'm really sorry to here that man. Wow that sucks hardcore. If it makes you feel anybetter, you should be able to get a 2.4 at a junkyard for 400$-ish (at least in Michigan).

Re: my poor motor

If ya can save the blown engine [instead of giving it to the boneyard for a price break], I would [if ya have the space] save as much of it as ya can. Parts-source, especially if ya boneyarding the swap.
