88 f-150 5.0 lariat

my truck is a 88 f-150 5.0 lariat 5spd. my buddy told me about this conversion, get the intake off a mustang and put on my truck. says it will give more power, is there any other things from the mustang i can use on my truck for more power?
i mean im tryin to get cheap power-that wont hurt the engine, im planning a bolt on supercharger in the future. im going to lower it front&back, dual exhaust and glasspacks... any websites for engine upgrades,lowering stuff,or exhaust and whats a good glasspack?
