Headlight difference

Quick question- I was thinking about purchasing some of those Angel Eye lights off of ebay but for some reason all the ones for the 95-96 are 40 dollars more. Will the 97-99 not fit my car? I have a 95 by the way. How do I know if my front end has been converted for a 97-99? I bought a used bodykit so Im not sure whether or not...Thanks.

P.S. Anyone see what was on the last page of the new Modified Mag.

Re: Headlight difference

They will all fit your car, but they will not fit perfectly... There is a difference in headlight sizes I found out. Theres the 2g A and 2g B (this is how it was explained to me and it made sense) The 2g A was in 95-96 which consisted of a wider headlight. Then they had the 2g B which was 97-99. But, in the Talon models, the 2g A ran from 95-98. Yours should have the 2g A style, but it will also fit the 2g B style. I put the 2g A style in my Talon and they fit just fine, but the corners come to a point sooner. Most aftermarket bodykits are designed for the 2g B style, but it looks as if yours is designed for the 2g A style... I've probably really confused the hell out of you. Hopefully it helps ya out.

Re: Headlight difference

Bada BING!!!!!!

They will fit fine but just look like this with the gaps. Thats a 95-96 front kit with a 97-99 headlight.

I'm pretty sure you can search for it on Yahoo and alot of online shops will have them, wether they'll be better than the Ebay ones I don't really know. I got the ones off Ebay and after about a month or so my left halo started making the strobe light looking effect and the next thing I know it never came back on

Re: Headlight difference

The wiring is way different. With the stock plug there is one socket, and with the halo headlights, there are 2 sockets. At least, thats how mine was.

By the way. Mine are the same ones they sell on ebay, but I got it through a dealer in my area. I've had it since this winter and my halo rings still work fine.

Halo and fake HID stuff looks nice but is less bright, usually made like crap, and unsafe to fellow drivers.

We've talked about it here a few times; I can't find the thread on the problems with E-Bay Halos, but here are a couple good links.

This is a good link for why some do a home job rather than buy off E-Bay: http://www.intellexual.net/hid.html

Here's another: http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=176184

Just to reiterate what the other said, your aftermarket bumper is probably designed for 97s (2gb). The ends taper toward each other with the 2ga, which is the easy way to ID them. You can see on Hella's sick picture that there's allowance for the tapering... making that aftermarket bumper a bit of an exception.

Anyway, good luck with the lights.

You have the 2ga headlights. Cool.

The o2 dump sounds like hell, and you won't see any gains with it.

What brand gold rotors did you buy? Paint your calipers while you change the rotors, that would look sick.

I'm just going to throw this out there about rotors: crossdrilling is for looks, and zinc coating is generally non-adviseable unless the company can provide proof is works.

They do look sick.
