Manually reset the computer?

I have a 1996 Bonneville that keeps showing the check engine light for the speed sensor. Is there a way to manually reset the computer instead of taking it somewhere?

Re: Manually reset the computer?

Some codes will clear when you unhook the battery cable but the best way is to repair the problem and then take it to Autozone, Advance or someone with a scan tool and they can reset it for you.
