front whell bearings

2000 mazda protege 1.8l
Can someone tell me what is involved in changing the front wheel nearings, like if they have to be pressed out or knocked of a shaft etc...
thanks
i just wann know what im getting in to and if special equipment is needed.

To remove and repalce the bearings you will need a press or some heavy duty pullers may work. Mazda has some special tools but most front end shops use multi purpose pullers and drivers. Removing the tie rod end, ball joint, caliper and roter are not too difficult. The tough part is getting the bearing out and installing the new bearing. A press and some drivers or big sockets should work.
