F-250 Super Duty clattering noise on start up
2000 F-250 Super Duty 5.4 Triton engine has a loud clattering noise on start up but only lasts until it starts to warm up. The noise is most noticable on the passengers side near the Air Cond. Compressor. I don't think it is lifter noise but it sounds like a diesel for the first two minutes after a cold start. Then it quiets down and purrs like a kitten.
Any thoughts?

Re: F-250 Super Duty clattering noise on start up
Quick update. The noise was a result of the nuts on the back two studs on the exhaust manifold were broken off. Once everything got warmed up it apparently sealed up enough to stop clattering.
