Talking 383 Lt1 Stroker

Well i've got some cash saved up and was planning on stroking/boring the lt1 into a 383, well ive found a place that will do it for $3,500 with forged internals. i'm also planning of using a 100 shot of nitrous. i wonder what i would run with that combo in the 1/4 mile

You should probably knock off 2secs from that, i guess thats what 89 meant . I never been to the track so i just making a guess, did you get that LT4 cam you were talking about? Also what else have you done internally, or are going to do internally?

Re: 383 Lt1 Stroker

well i dunno bout 11's, because with the 383 you may run into traction problems. which will lower your reaction times. but once you get those worked out, i would say low 12s and maybe high 11's depending on your setup may be possible.

well i've already got a complete hotchkis suspension. i was thinking of going with a dual stage nitrous system, maybe a 50 shot and the launch and another 75 once i hook up really good

Re: 383 Lt1 Stroker

Thats gonna be a kick in the seat when ya get that 383 in there. Make sure your piston rings seat all the way before really getting on it. I saw a guy with a 383 in his chevelle at a car show and he was having problems with his.
