Stupid Question

ok.. now i know this is about one of the stupidest questions but i cannot figure it out

how do you use the helmet thing on the passenger peg... i cant figure how the helmet is supposed to go on.. do you have to have a special helmet or am i just retarded

anyway.. i sat outside yesterday for like 10 minutes trying to figure it out with no luck... its mind boggling.. i can jerry-rig just about anything but i cant figure this out...

anyone that would like to give this dumbass a pic so i can see how to do it would be apprechiated..

i asked my roomate.. and he doesnt know how to use it either... and i dont want to go to the local shop because they are pricks

anyway thanks

which kind do you have?

all mine have been a hook which comes from either the seat and hangs down like a "J" or a bracket on the inside of the frame.

with the seat one, push the base of the helmet up to the fairing.
use the loop fastener on the strap of the helmet and twist it one half turn so as when you stretch it to the hook and slide it onto the hook, it untwists itself to sit naturally.

with the bracket its basically the same deal. its all in the twist of the loop. twist the wrong way and it'll be too short .

Re: Stupid Question

get some bungy cord with hooks on either sides. actually get two (better safe than sorry). if it's a helmet with a visor, stick them through the visor location, through the hole for your head, and around any part of the bike that you think will hold it safely and away from harm.

THANKS... a$$.... ... well i know that.. but isnt there a way to make it solid.. i mean so it doesnt hit the tire if ya walk by .. or so someone walking by doesnt hit the helmet into the body and scratch the helmet. anyway.. i think ill head to the dealer and ask them.. i'll hide my shame.. lol.... dangit...

ohh and the steps are great... i was sitting here at work laughing and my supervisor asked what was wrong.. (since we are not supposed to be on the internet )
