replacement floor pans...
so i'm sure i've prolly asked this question before, but i still gotta ask it.
does anyone know any places to buy replacement floor pans? (for 1st gen CRX's) mine are slowly getting worse, and looking underneath the car, it's going to be better to replace the whole pan if possible

Do all Civics suffer from floorpan rot?
The Rover saloons based on the Civic sedan were known for it. But only because they have little box sections just inside from the jacking location on the sill. Garages just tend to shove their jacks under these, which aren't structural, bending the floor up. This cracks the undersealant letting the water in and trapping it, so the floorpan just rusts through. It gets right on my nerves because you go to pick the car up and the floor is coming up to meet you when you sit down. |

Re: replacement floor pans...
Mines perfect underneath. I wasn't about to buy a car that needed a new floorpan. My last one died from this though,so any garage this one goes to I'll be supervising.
I think I'll remove the box sections completely, so they are not tempted. |
