My 1995 Aurora won't start

Help! Please!

I have changed the crankshaft sensor, emission sensor, and ignition module but the car still not working. It turns over then stalls out. I was told it could be the key but that was checked also. Any ideas what could be wrong?

Also, how many crankshaft sensors does an Aurora have.

Thanks

Frustrated Pat

have you checked your fuel pressure?

how many mile do you have one your '95?

i had to change my fuel pump at 120,000 mi

fuel pressure regulator is also something to check.

The car only has 55,000 miles. Yes, the fuel pressure regulator's been changed. Also changed fuel filter. It's still not working

hmm -- a few things to look at:

Fuel or ignition/electrical
if you do not have a "check engine light" then chances are its fuel related - maybe fuel pump

if you do have a "check engine light" determine the code (autozone for free), i know it won't start so that's tough to do.

Check ALL fuses - at driver's door and under back seat.

see if it has spark at one of the plugs. if yes then it,s likely fuel related for sure. if no then ignition (electrical) related.

also - i seem to recall that the fuel pump circuit runs through the oil pressure sensor. if low oil pressure the fuel pump shuts down. silly but is the oil level up?

i believe 2 crank sensors but that would have set off the "check engine" light

also it could be your vats system if there is a malfunction somewhere the car might start then because of the security the computer will shut it off thinking someone is trying to steel it. but what you can do is have a dealer check out the car by bypassing the vats system if they can bypass that and the car runs then its the vats system.

Re: My 1995 Aurora won't start

Thanks for all your responses. Update. Towed car over from old mechanic to JR Auto Computer was bad. Computer was replaced. Cost 300.00 computer, 150.00 labor. Car is now running again. Advice that I will know next time, if you have a mechanic that "guess" wrong problem first time after diagnostic, don't let him keep guessing and replacing. Thanks All!
