How to adjust TPS?
Hello all,
I have a 85 (I'm pretty sure, may be 86) Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight Regency Brougham. It has the 3.8L v6. Check engine light was coming on, car was almost stalling, so i checked the codes, and got a code 22, TPS out of adjustment. Just wondering how can I check the TPS, I have a volt meter I think. Thanks in advance! |

Re: How to adjust TPS?
Okay, just a few quick questions. If the TPS is dead, would it work fine once the engine is warm? What are the voltages it should be at in idle and at WOT. How do I adjust the voltage up or down.

It might have a "soft point" sorta speak. The instuctions for adjusting are in the Chiltons or Hayes repair manuals available at your local auto parts store. I think it is A and C and it should be 5 v at WOT for the Vin b, which you probably have. |

Re: How to adjust TPS?
Does anyone have an idea what the voltage should be. Also, anyone know how to change them, since I have a parts car, so I can just swap the two. Thanks!
