92 Supreme A/C

What do I need to recharge the A/c on my '92 Cutlass Supreme? The A/C worked when I bought it a few months back, but doesn't now. Also where are the connections? I can't find them.

Re: 92 Supreme A/C

The stock '92 Oldsmobiles use R-12 refrigerant. They require service at a certified repair facility to prevent the release of CFC's (chlorinated fluorcarbons) determined by science to damage the ozone layer.
So far as I know, there are no refrigerants that can be added by just anyone to replace the R-12 because the remaining R-12 still in your system has to be evacuated and any leaks repaired before the system can be re-filled.
The question no one can answer is how a heavier than air gas can rise vertically several thousand feet to mess with the ozone when heavier than air airplanes require motors to get them into the air. Maybe the airplane R-12 air-conditioning leaked it up there after they got up there :>]
