Auto VS Manual

Ok, I am thinking of buying an 87 944 for 3 grand. It has 120,000 miles on it. Now, does anyone feel a difference in power from the auto and the manual? Or would the handling still be the same for both. Does having an auto or manual change your 0-60 time? And yes, I know that they are not made for 0-60 time. lol Just wondering if there is a big difference in that department. Thanks

Re: Auto VS Manual

the 0-60 times are as follows Auto -9.8 and for the manual 8.3 that is if you get a regular 944 if you get a 944s the 0-60 is 7.7 and for a turbo its 6.1. i own a 1987 944 auto. (these times are out of the owners manual.)

About what is the top speed you get with your auto? And can you get up there in speed fast? Like if your going 55, and you step on the gas hard and it downshifts does it pick up in speed fast there also?
