Fog Light Replacment

What bulbs does everyone have in their fog lights? i bought some cheap ones off of ebay a while ago and one just burned out so it's to replace them. I've got PIAA headlights so something to match would be good.

btw..i have a 97 gt

If you use anything thats more than a couple watts than stock which is 27w I think, you will melt the plastic lens on stock fog lights. I replaced mine with cyberwhites using the stock bracket and I've been happy with them.

Re: Fog Light Replacment

I also replaced mine with cyberwhites. They were about $40 at Wally Marts. I made a plate to go on the back of the supplied bracket so that they would mount using the factory holes. They are 55W and would more closely match your headlights and would also provide much greater vision at night and in the rain.

Re: Fog Light Replacment

i'm not sure what the cheap ones i bought run, but my fogs don't seem to be melting so i'm sure they are just fine.

so the cyberwhites don't fit the factory fogs? not quite sure i understand what you had to do. i'll prolly run down to wal mart though grab some cyberwhites.

thx guys.

Re: Fog Light Replacment

Once you take the two nuts off that hold the factory lights on you'll be able to disconnect them and pull them out. I then took the factory mounting bracket off and attached it to the cyberwhite bracket so that the same holes and fasteners could be reused and make everything easier. I don't recall the process exactly as it's been over a year since I put mine on but once you get the factory ones off you'll see a way to attach the factory bracket. If you have any trouble let me knoe and I'll pull mine and email you pics.

And if you do go with cyberwhites or anything else, make sure you use the supplied wire harness and relay.
