Question 2001 malibu blinker problems

I have been having problems with my blinkers on my 2001 malibu. Sometimes they work and sometimes they don't. They are very tempermental. Some days they will work just fine at every turn. Some days they won't work at all. Some days they start out working and then quit while sitting at an intersection. Does anyone know what could be the problem before I take it in to be repaired.

its the flasher relay, it is behind the hazard switch.
when they dont work punch the hazards on and off and it should start working.
This is a recall on some of the malibus and the dealer should replace it
check with them

Just as goofy said.

The information about this can be found here:

I got my letter from GM, and technically it is not a recall, but they will replace it.
