02 sensor question
Where is the 02 sensor ona 2001 ranger, v6?
I now it should be on the intake manifold. I know when I changed one out on my old dodge truck I had to have a special socket for removal abd installation. Do I need any special tools for this job? Any help is greatly apprieciated John |

Re: 02 sensor question
there are 4 o2 sensors on a v-6 ranger in that year - but they are located in the exhaust not the intake

! They can be over $100/ea for tons of newer vehicles today, plus the downstream O2 sensors do absolutely nothing for fuel trim calculations, they just indicate if the cat(s) are working or not. On a 1998+ (OBDII) vehicle, dont throw money at new O2 sensors unless you have a check engine light in regards to an O2 sensor issue.G/luck Joel
