Unhappy neons PLEASE HELP

Hi all,
im only new 2 neons etc but this is the story.

i have installed 2x 25cm neons under the front driver and passangers feet and wired them into the 12V positive of my cig lighter, grounded them 2 my body and placed a switch in between. they power on when i turn it on but they tend to flicker a little at the start. ANY IDEAS WHY THIS IS???

also wud anyone no why when i put the face of my cd play back onto my pioneer head unit why the music started to play but the face did not light up. after turning the ignition off and on again all has been good and it has not done it again.... wud anyone worry about this?

thanks everyone.... whatever help u can give me will be great.

cheers, mark

I'm not any real neon genious, but I think they are warming up when they flicker. As far as your head unit, I think you blew the back light to your display or something.

Re: neons PLEASE HELP

with ur neons, double check all ur connections and make sure they arent loose. with ur headunit, it may be or have been a bad connection, try wiping the metal contacts with rubbing alcohol or something like that, dont go overboard coz if u get liquid inside it ur fucked.
