Getting a Miata to Run 13's
Hi,
I may be possibly getting a Mazda Miata and I was wondering, how much money would it take to get it to run 13's reliably? I would just like a ball park figure so I know how much I'll probably be spending. Thank you.

lets see,a jackson racing supercharger, intercooler, boost controler and upgraded fuel pump with what ever exhaust system you want should get you a fast enough car. you are looking at around 4,000
|

200 shot of n2o should geterdunn... some decent slicks and a few tranny's. $300 n2o, $500 slicks
But really the turbo route would be the best, not necesarily easiest by any means, but 13's are definately possible for under 2k. If you are worried about this being your daily driver then probly 4 or 5k.

I don't know your financial situation for your car purchase, but I bought an 04' Mazdaspeed and ran a [email protected] bone stock.(motor trend drivers are good 14.5@ 94) Flyin miata down pipe back exhuast 900$ turbonetics MBC $69 and a custom intercooler to replace the phone book they put in there, 300 $ so $1269 + tax and I'm running 13.4's 13.5's consistently around 103-107 m.p.h. on 11 lbs. Stock is around 8. The problem is the tires don't hook up till the bottom of third.
But in any year regular miata, real simple, check out flyin miata they've got some wicked supercharger and turbo kits! and AEM already has intakes out for most Miata's(except mine I've been waitin for 3 weeks

whatever you do, DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON AN MSM Miata. you can build a 13 sec Miata for under $6k, including the car. http://forum.miata.net/vb/index.php?
