79 210 engine performance ideas

I got a 79 FWD 210 (KHLB310) and was wondering what would be a good engine swap or performance upgrades. It has an A14 engine it.

Any ideas would be good.

i did not know the 1979 210 was avialable in front weel drive. try headers, duel carbs, and a preformance air filter. is is an OHC?

i don't think so......i think the A motors were all iorn and pushrod inline fours (A14=1.4 liter)

get under there and look.

if it is FWD and a 1.4 liter pushrod four......
i hate to say it, but it might not be worth upgrading?

a swap is probably your best bet
i can't really reccomend any specific engines until i know, for sure, if it is FWD or RWD

but yea, if you are going to upgrade the A14, dual sidedraft carbs, a header, and exhaust would be the way to go.
you probably won't be able to get 100 hp out of this motor.
unless you turbo'ed it, and i don't reccomend it, not worth it.

if it is RWD, here is a good site for swap info. it is a datsun 1200 site, these cars were the ancestors of your 210 and also came stock with A-series motors (A12)

yeah i got rid of it a while back.....


i have a brand new 1200/210 book if ne one wants to buy it
10$ plus sh its a chilton and has some good stuff in it
right now i drive an 86 prelude, runs pretty good... well later.

about those french.... dont forget the colone in one hand and the wine in the other, both of which are cheap( i think they're the same thing )
