Re: front disc upgrade

It makes it possative I believe, but it can be corrected with a camber kit. I'v heard its worth it, but you need to upgrade your master cylinder/booster. If you want to get more stoping power for about the same effort you can get some prelude rotors (11.1") and some Accord Wagon (any year) calipers, there the same as jdm SIR calipers. You have to redrill the rotors for four lug and mill some off of your caliper bracket, I can get the exact amount if you want to know how much- I have it wrote down.

Re: front disc upgrade

so it would be better to keep the civic spindels and just upgrade the rotors and calipers? oh and if the camber is pos. that can be fixed by lowering the car, right?

Re: front disc upgrade

yes, positive camber can be fixed to an extent by lowering the car.

i have integra front knuckles on my car, and none of my alignment specs were so out of whack that i couldnt adjust them into spec

Re: front disc upgrade

Yeah, I'v heard many differnt things on the camber, some people (like above) said it doesnt throw it off, then some people swear they had sever camber after swaping hubs. I'v got a set of 01 gsr hubs/control arms that I'm fixing to use in my ongoing overly huge brake upgrade, guess I'll find out then, but I'll be using skunk2 camber adjustable control arms so it wont really matter .

Re: front disc upgrade

how are you gonna fit skunk2 upper control arms on an EF? the EG ones dont fit.

ive seen a how to somewhere about using just the camber plate from the skunk2 arms, and cutting and welding them on EF control arms. it came out awesome, and i think im gonna do that.

Re: front disc upgrade

I got 01 integra gsr front hubs that will have 12" black rotors (forget the company that makes them) fitted to them, 11" black rotors for the rear. calipers right now are going to be the 01 gsr, but that may soon change to something better. Susupension will be Tanabe true coilovers (springs/struts) made for ITR, Same for rear, mine is an 88 and has the passive rear steering same as the ITR. I'll be running Skunk2 upper control arms. 1" Master cylinder and booster. Progress sway bars, full energy hyperflex bushing kit. Thats the jist of the suspensen/brakes. Then will come the interior, exterior, then wrap things up with a nice b18c5 under the hood (later next year).
