Good aftermarket projectors for HID...
Anyone know of some good projector headlight for a 98 accord? HID just isn't what it was meant to be without projectors.

I don't think there is any good projector. If you put those projectors with HID, the beam pattern will change to two lines. I will stick with the OEM headlights.

I'm looking for the same thing for my coupe. My friend bought a new 2002 Passat and it came with projectors. I don't think those projectors were designed for HID but he bought a 6,000K kit from England and they look AWESOME. They have a slight purpleish tint to them, but are super bright and the sharpness is amazing. I'm sure they're stuff out there. I've seen projectors for my coupe, but I don't know if they'll accept the long HID bulb. I have yet to run into someone who's put REAL HID in aftermarket projectors.

if you get some info on HID's you can visit this web site -> http://www.autolamps-online.com/ , it will give you a clue what you should look for. |

My buddy went to hidforless.com I think. I'll talk to him tommorow and get the real deal and might even get some pics. I think the company is in England. He called them up and they helped him pick the right kit. He also had to sign a release form stating that he knew the HID kit was for off road use only. The kit set him back around $550 including shipping. It's looks great and my friend installed it himself. Apparently in Europe, HIDs are an option on the new Passats so the kit was plug and play.

HID can work in stock headlamps as long as you aim it down to reduce glare since they don't have a cutoff. However it still can't match the light output of HID in a HID headlamp.

Philips just released new D2R bulb, its DOT approved, features wider distribution and its lost yelowness (D2R had metalic ring on it to reduce glare, which was giving yellow light at certan angles).
