IT IS DIFFICULT WITHOUT VEHICLE YEAR-MODEL-ENGINE SIZE-AND DETAILS ON EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED WHEN YOU FIRST NOTICED THIS..HAS IT BEEN RUNNING ROUGH FOR AWHILE HAVE YOU DONE A RECENT TUNE UP ETC..?
I WOULD CHECK IGNITION FUSES AND RELAY.
AND TEST FOR POWER SUPPLY AT COIL..12 VOLTS..TRACE AND CHECK YOUR ECM GROUND.(NOT LIKELY THE PROB. JUST THROWING IT OUT THERE FOR YOU)
IS THE COIL PLUG WIRE BURNT HAVE YOU CHECKED IT FOR PROPER RESISTANCE??
GOOD LUCK
