clicking hazzard switch

My hazzard or flashers switch started a very bad clicking or buzzing sound a couple of weeks ago. It was quite loud and would only stop when I turned on the blinker.

I replaced the switch for $30 and now the new one is doing it again. It is not loud or rapid this time. It is more of a slow click, maybe 2 per second, but it is intermittent.

Any ideas?

does it sound like the clicking sound you get when you turn on one of the turn signals? if it does, that's normal
