VW Golf '99 Brake Lights Not Working!
Hi there, I'm after some experienced advice for a problem I have with my VW Golf. In the past 2 days ALL my rear brake lights no longer work (including strip at top of window). I have checked the fuses and nothing has blown. Where else should I be checking before getting it looked at by a garage?! Are there any relays connected to the brakes...if so where are these located? Where does the wiring go to on from my brake pedal? I'm up for having a go but do not know much about the car's electrics. Appreciate any help. Mark.

My vehicle is a 87 gti, som i don't know if this can help, anyway you don't lose nothing trying it. There's some switches for the clutch and the brake that are right behind the pedals, and those control the brake lights and clutch relay (this one is for not start the car without pressing the clutch). Maybe your switch is bad and needs replace or maybe is just stuck. Give it a try. I may help.
Good luck. |
