I am selling my 1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder GS-T.
The prodominate reason I am trying to sell the car is that I am in college, and im looking to move out of where I am, and with this car its just not a reality. The car is in really good shape, there is a pic attached in my signature. I have more pics if you are interested. Or you can view them here. The turbo still boosts hard and it will still run with the best of them. I have owned the car for a little over a year, when I bought it the dealer had put in a new clutch and also replaced all the metal straps in the top, as well as all new weather seals. I have personally replaced all the TRW tie rods, dayco poly cog drive belts, dayco timing belt, dayco balance shaft belt, new ASC water pump, I also had the alternator rebuilt by a local guy who does it for a living, and new thermostat from Mitsubishi. I have some custom bent piping under the car hooked ot a magnaflow exhaust that sounds pretty good, i get alot of compliments on it. I have a red top optima battery, and I have installed 4 new Falken Ziex ZE-512 tires. All parts for the car with the exception of the exhaust, tires, and the thermostat were purchased at Advance Auto Parts, if you want more info on the red top battery, any Advance has one sitting on the shelf. One thing i did change is i had the middle part of the brake lights where has ECLIPSE written painted red to match the car, and I also had all emblems and stickers removed with the exception of the Mitsubishi badge on the front bumper. The car has a Kenwood Excelon Head unit and a 800 watt Kenwood Excelon amp, as well as a custom fit box with 2 MTX 8000 Thunder subs that can be purchased sepratly, other wise i will supply the buyer with the factory head unit, and the factory amp which has been removed. Now for the not so good stuff. Cosmetic: There are a few small dings from doorbangs that have occured on campus. I am a freak about cleaning my car and when I clean it its often a 3/4 of the day job. Other than that it looks pretty good. Mechanical: Honestly the car is pretty sound, it just has some high mileage, its sittin at almost 155,000 miles, most of the miles i put on it are highway miles as i drive 60 miles of highway every day in this car. The idle runs a little rough sometimes, but it doenst happen often and usually isnt noticible. I would like to see $8,000 out of this car, that may seem a little high, but if your seriously interested im sure i could work something out. If you have any questions feel free to email me at: [email protected] of call me @ 765-562-2469, if i dont answer im probably at work so leave a message with your name and number and a good time to call back. I am located in west-cental Indiana, near the town of Terre Haute. Thanks for checkin it out! ZjP
