Headlight Problem on 01 grand am gt
Hey fellas,
My right headlight has gone out on me. When my daytime running lamps come on the right side doesn't work. I noticed the other night when i was driving that the right side wasn't as bright so i got out and check and the headlight was out. When i turned on my highbeams however, the rightside then lit up. How can i fix this? Can a simple bulp replacement for the right headlight do the trick? If so, how do i change it. Is it difficult? Or can you just undo the clips and screw in the new bulb? Thanks for the help. |

Re: Headlight Problem on 01 grand am gt
Sounds like the low beam filament is dead, and most likely a bulb replace is all ya need. Look for the wire/plug in on the back of the lens [from inside the engine compartment.] It just twists out, and the replace bulb justs goes into the plug housing. NOTE, try to not handle the glass part of bulb with hands, use a small clean rag or something.
The following link won't go to the "01's, but the general process is the same. |

be careful when removing the balck ring that hold the bulb socket in the housing; these tend to break really easily.
