US Maxima = JDM Cefiro?
Im new to the whole maxima scene but you guys would probably know this. Are the older nissan maxima's like the '93 the US equivalent to the JDM cefiro? I have been noticing the body is identical except for the front end and asides from the fact that US maxima's are FF. But if the chassis is the same would you be able to put the RB20det in and make it rear wheel drive?
If you have any ideas please post cause if so its gonna be my new project. |

Re: US Maxima = JDM Cefiro?
Making any FWD car RWD is not easy. Since one is FWD and one is RWD, I doubt they share the same chassis. If you decide to go through with it, it will get expensive, and time consuming. Good luck!

Re: US Maxima = JDM Cefiro?
The First Gen Maximas are RWD. From 94 on the Cefiro was/is FF. They were FR until 1993. From 95 on the maxima and Cefiro Shared the A32 and A33 Chassis. earlier Cefiros were A31, earlier maximas were J30.
Don't change the Drivetrain...Just Turbo your maxima. It'll make better power and be more reliable.
