Rust on inner rear strut tower.

Has anyone else found rust on the inner face of the rear strut tower under the carpet in the trunk ?
It has rusted enough to allow water into the trunk on my 1998 GTP.

Do they lay salt on the snow ? Salt is a killer for metal. I know someone makses a spray for the bottom of cars to help prevent that.

Jeff,
On the other site he listed this on, he just had rust. Nothing about rusting thru. No water in trunk. Waiting to see which one it is.
But nice to see you out here. It's been a while. Feeling better?

A little better arm and shoulder killing me still. And you? As far as my answer it was just general talk. if it is not rusted through then it soon will be.
