What can yall tell me about the '74 Duster
My girlfriend's father just bought some land in NY and he found the body of a '74 Duster abandoned on the land and I am fortunate enough to have it. He got a mechanic to check it for rust damage and surprisingly the only mayor damage was the trunk and the hood (they dont need to be replaced, just patch the hole on it). I dont know much about these cars but have been wanting to restore a muscle car and this one took the cake. I just want to know about any info about them. Thnx for any info ahead time.

Re: What can yall tell me about the '74 Duster
3 Dollar Bill Ya'll.
Ya'll wanna single say fuck that. Who cares. I really don't think anyone here even thought twice about it. You might have offended some rednecks or something, maybe. 1974 was the last year they built Dusters in that bodystyle. They came with either 225 slant sixes, or 318 and 360 V8's. 3 speed automatics and 4 speed manuals. There was a 3 speed manual in the early years but I don't know if they kept putting them in at this point. These A bodies are becoming desireable just because they're not as difficult to restore or even just buy something like a E or B body. The A bodies are still nice enough but they haven't become that collectible yet, but I'm sure they will and so if you have this one you should definitely keep it. Just wait a few years and you'll see. You can still find them with half decent body panels like you did, and these were the cars that older people would own and keep in good condition. They can often be scored for next to no money. You have a goldmine if you hold onto it for sure, no doubt about that.

Re: What can yall tell me about the '74 Duster
Under the hood, on the driver's side inner fender, there is a fender tag. Take a look at it and post all of the options numbers. We'll be able to tell you how valuable or rare the car is.
