sequence for entering radio code 1999 VW Cabrio

Can someone give me the instructions for entering the radio code? I have the code itself, but I don't have the instructions. Thanks much.

numbers 1-4 on radio are the numbers in order.... press them the amount of times for each number in code. Then press the "seek/scan foward" button and hold untill it enters the code. If if just goes to "safe" then you need to remove the radio and unplug it and remove the fuse then try again.
