Gas Mileage

Is there any way to make the gas mileage better on this car. My dad has an 04 in storage and hes planning on giving it to me when i can drive, but i dont want it if it only gets 13 mpg, so dose anyone know of anything that will help with gas mileage?

I have a 2000 HSE and I've driven my RR from Long Beach CA to Las Vegas starting at half a tank and only refilled it ONCE and ended with about 3/8 left, at my normal pace of 60-70 mph. My husband who works for GM was surprised.
