1965 - 67, 327 cu in motor, starter problems

I have a 1965 Malibu with a 1967, 327 motor. When engine is hot starter will not turn over, you have to wait until it cools down. My friend has a 67 camaro 327 with the same problem. New & rebuilt starters have same problem. HELP !!!
Thank you in advance for any suggestions you may have.

Well, what sound does it make. A click? If not any sound how are you sure its not fuel vapor lock?

So when the engine is cool you get normal starter action but when hot no sound at all? And you are sure it is a statrer function doing that? Don't think so - especially if it is the same with rebuilt and new starters. It sounds like something else. Maybe check to see if it is not vapor lock. If you have isolated the problem to the starting circuit, then check the starter relays etc.
