91 integra ls b16a vtec issues

my cuz just bought a 91 acura integra ls had a b16a put in it... but vtec wont kick in... and it hits a rev limiter at 7,000 rpms even

it has a b16a pr3 ecu......
any ideas on wat it may be

we changed the vtec solenoid today and oil switch but stilll nothing

throws a check engine light but dont know how to run the code....


any thoughts or ideas please let me know asap.... thanks

its code 22... wich is vtec oil switch...

but the solenoid is good....

we checked the vtec wiring its ran good....

dunno exactly wat the vtec oil switch is....

the vtec oil switch isnt near the solenoid, its near the oil filter, just go buy one, theyre $10.

vtec oil switch is connected to the solenoid... thats the 2 wires that run from there to the ecu to wire in vtec

we checked from the vtec solenoid the wires run to the ecu they are all good and in the right spots....

checked the solenoid is good... vtec pressure switch is good... the piston moves freely

wat else could cause it to throw a code 22

try resetting your ecu. or may be you dont have any oil pressure. ive seen small ass dents to the oil pan that cuz vtec to stop working properly.
