installing a new stat
wanna put in a 180stat....is it hard to do? you need to flush the entire system right?....
and is it anything like brakes, where you need to "bleed" the system to remove air pockets? |

Here's a link to help you out and answer your question: http://www.pfyc.com/supportfiles/tstat/tstat.htm A lot of us drain some coolant to where it is below the level of the upper radiator hose, of course while the engine is cold before starting the above procedure. There are two bleeders, one on the thermostat housing and one by the transfer tube of the water pump. Good luck! BTW - A flush is not required for thermostat change unless you happen to see Dexcool sludge in the process. ![]() Thrasher CAI, DHP v1.0 ECU, 3.25 SC pulley, CAIT GMAF, Hi-Flow CAT, u-bend delete, 160 TS,TB spacer, MSD 8.5mm wires, Autolite 104 spark plugs, Goodyear Gatorback Serp. & SC Belt, Nitto NT555R Drag Radials
