coil???
I've got another question. I was going to prom and on the way the check engine light came on and all of a sudden I lost all power. I'd press on the gas and nothing. Shift down and nothing. I lost everything. The fan and all the electronics were working such as lights and stuff but I couldnt start the engine. It would try and start but not turn over. At first I thought I ran out of gas but when we put some in and tried it again, it still wouldnt start. This leads me to the coil pack. It's a 89 probe gt. I'm almost ready to shoot the car but It's my only transportation. I believe it's the coil pack or could it be the fuel pump? A little help please!!! Thanks-

sooo
so i replaced the coil and this is what it's doing. it's supplying the 12 volts from the battery to the coil but when i test it off the positive and negative posts on the coil i get hardly a reading..what's this about?? is it just trying to get some power? and i'm hooking up everything and still...i took the cable from off the distributor cap and held it like 1/6th of an inch away from the block and no sparks, could anyone help me out!!! I need this car to get around and it's really pissing me off! I dont know if it's the coil STILL or it's the wire, or the distributor cap or if it's not grounded right or what, is there anyone who could help me???
