90 2.9 stalls wont start for hours then runs fine

I have a 90 2.9 ranger xlt.truck runs fine. but will die and will take 4-6 hours to restart and runs fine again happens often, ignition module ?

That would be one of my first guesses. (TFI Module) These tend to get old and act up like you describe. Can you get it tested before blindly replacing it? Also make sure that you're not getting any spark when it's acting up.
