VR4 v.s RSX/Type-R

on my way to the store to pick up some cigs and butter at walgreens for my mom.
just cruising and spot a rsx only when i get up close, the back says integra, and the side of it says type-r. now i'm confused cause i thought the integra version was only in japan, i thought in the us they called them rsx-s
well it had an exhaust, actually didnt sound ricey either. nice rims, but not sure if they were factory racing rims or not.
well he's about 2 cars in front and i get in the 3rd lane to pass up some cars, and end up almost on the side of him, until he punches it and squeels his tires as he's already going 25mph(its a little damp outside) and as it seems to me, he wants to run.
so i get behind him and light turns green and we go. the truck in front of him is going slow and we need an opening. finally he pushes the truck up and squeezes through at WOT
i hit it but let off a little looking back to see if i still have the space that he had. space is clear so i hit it WOT
i'm coming up on the side of him my rpm's are at 6500 and i'm loosing power, i shift early to 3rd(as my redline is 7000) and pull on him hard, i gain a car length in just a second, pull 2 lengths on him shortly after and finally he shuts down and i do also. i look at my speedometer and i was at 110mph on a 45
i get in my turning lane and the guy waves out the window screaming "nice run nice run"
i gave him a wave and went on about my way

Re: VR4 v.s RSX/Type-R

Cool cool good run, I was just messing w/ a Type-S the other day when I had nothing in the car but the driver seat...it was a no go though, leaves me wondering.

One of the guys in the RSX forum showed us a pic of a North American RSX with "Honda Integra" labels on it, but I cant find it, its from a while ago

RSX is a Low - Mid 6s car to 60, but it takes a good driver to get the car to perform (IE not me)

0-60 - 6.2
1/4 - 14.9
maxes out at...ummm in MPH like 130 Gov limited

Its really onlt got about 2500rpm of power as its completely dead b4 5500

*Edit... http://thersxsite.com/kits/mugen/jspek.html
not the one I was looking for, but It'll do

Re: VR4 v.s RSX/Type-R

well you can buy oem replace decals on ebay that sticks onto the sides
it's sad when people try to put labels on their car to try to make it something else

If more people can give nice short (but to the point) details, I would read about more races.

Good run though.

Yeah I think I've seen stock ones run a 14.7 and the newers ones run 14.4 @ 97 mph (when it was tested by a magazine)

I know that the older ones can get into 13s with I/H/E + Hondata tuning and can be really quick once rolling.

They arent trying to make it something it isn't, seeing as over there, they are marketing it as an Integra, not an RSX. It's not like the stuck an ///M Badge on the back of a 330ci or some such nonsense, just rebaged it to look Japanese market.

Anyways, good kill. Quick little cars, kinda cool, 'cept its FWD. Only problem I have with it. They can be quick, but it does take a good driver to run 'em quick, seeing as I ran doors with one up to 95.

Good run Young. You're getting some good action lately, good story with the Porsche too. The RSX is actually a pretty quick car and you never know what they have. Lovin' that 14.5psi though! Good job.

Generally 2 or more cars accelerate forward. Typically, one does so faster, and is awarded the win. There, now you don't have to waste any more time reading any.

Young nice run man. I tried racing one of those awhile back, but the driver ended up being a complete dick who just kept swerving and telling me to pull over and fight. Nice to see you racing again.

Your 1996 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 is the 92nd out of the 315 that were made that year. Only 21 of which are exactly identical.

That's hilarious. People like such idiots.

And drewh, if reading a paragraph is too hard for you then you need to go back to school...or just go to school.
