Help with custom interior

Im in the process of redoing my interior but i need help with getting the gear selector off in my automatic 2001 3.4 v6. i know i need it in 1st gear and the ebrake pulled, but i get figure out what to do with the nob on the front of the gear selector...and also does anybody know how i can get the vents out to paint them, and how to get the door panels off, and how to get to the flat screws by the front seats on the center console. thanks guys

i'm also going to be putting in neons and LED's, i could use some help with figuring out total amp and what to use for a battery wire. any help is much appreciated
