Hello, I'm changing my chevy 305 to a Goodrench 350. I have bought a Goodrench longblock, Edelbrock intake and carb, but plan to use my old damper, pulleys and some other stuff.
When mounting the damper on the crank, I cannot get it to go onto the crank as far as it needs to. This makes the crank pulley to be about ½ an inch off. Does anyone know if thera are any difference between the two cranks - 305 vs 350, or any differences between dampers used on those two engines? thanks in advance! Claes, in Sweden |

Re: Chev 305/350 differences?
Yes, the chevy 350 crank will have more stroke than the 305 (in sence, it is bigger)
Usually in engines, the bore is the same, and they change the crank size (to get the engine size) |

305 - 3.740" bore 3.48" stroke
350 - 4" bore 3.48" stroke (Gen I. 350's only)
