Talking 98 ford escort please HELP me....

I just bought a 98 ford escort back in March.......I noticed after the weather started getting warmer that it was over heating....the temp gauge didnt work when i got it.......anywayyyyyyyyyy..... well the check engine light came on and I took it to advance, they run a check and told me it was a sencer......soooooo..i put that sencer on and it got the temp gauge hand inside the car to working.....the fan still didnt cut on.....it still over heated......so i went and got the fan sencer and had it put on.........well boom the fan is running.......NONSTOPPPPPPPPP.......it wont cut off and my check engine has come back on.........this fan will not cut off..and of course its not over heating anymore......but please tell me what I need to do in order to get the fan to cut off.......if I cant get any help, its going make some happy fish a nice home sitting in the bottom of a lake.1 more thing...I took it back to advance today so they can tell me why the check engine light came back on......they dont have a clue.

after you made the changes did you reset the computer? Sounds like you didnt try disconnecting the battery for at least 5 minutes. Could be the computer has to re learn the car now with the new sensors installed.

my brother-in-law was the one that workedon my car.......he said he reset the computer.....does a 98 escort have a relay button? could that be the problem?.thanks for replying back to me ...

When the sensor was replaced was the wire reconnected tightly? If it was left off it would cause this problem.
