Very very weird thing happended today, I was driving along and decided to tilt the steering wheel up a notch, a couple of seconds later the security light came on and stayed on until I turned off the truck. Is it just me or has anybody seen this before??

you may have a problem with your passlock system. could be nothing or it may need to go to the dealer. i wouldnt worry about it if it didnt hurt anything. did it go out after u shut the truck off and started it again? if so its nothing to worry about.

Re: Security light ON when tilting steering wheel

Yes it did, it did not turn back on after it sat for a few minutes, but I´m still wondering how tilting the steering wheel would do this

the only thing i can think of is there is a plug under there that could be loose. or the passlock wires could be pinched. have you done any work or wiring in your column or ignition harness. i would drop the lower dash and shroud on steering column and check all the connection and maybe jiggle them and play around while the truck is on and see if that causes it. hope this helps

the passlock wires may be in a small orange sleeve, or a gray sleeve. if not they will be a small yellow and a small black wire in the main harness.

Hey, do you remember how much your remote starter cost?
