I just stumbled across this website!! I think i'm going to be coming back here often!!
I searched the site ( and the web, and my chilton's manual, etc) and have a dumb question.... I am replacing all my belts in my jeep [ 1982 cj-7 6cyl] . I am able to remove the first two ( closest to front of jeep ) by loosening the pivot bolt and the anchor bolt, getting belt slack. That part went fine. Now the tough part.... I can not find where/how to loosen the 3rd belt. I have been working at it for the past hour or so and can't find how to ge the belt off. Please give me a hint!! thanks in advance Jim |

Re: Replacing belts in 1984 Cj-7
Do you mean the Pwr Steering belt? If so You'l have to loosen the bolts on the backside of the pump bracket and the upper bolt, then take a wrachet and socket, there is an adjustment boly on the lower right side of the pump, hard to see and a tight local. Hope this helps.
