Quick Question

I have a question, if someone may shed some light on. My truck is a 95 jimmy. I know that the 4l60e valve body was changed in 96, the question I have is that is the casting for the valve body from 96 be the same as the 95? I have a chance on getting a new VB from a friend that I know, but its for a 96 and up. If the casting is the same, I can swap some parts over from my 95 Vb and I would be o.k. But I don't know if the 96+ Vb casting is the same. I am in the process of rebuilding the tranny in the Jimmy and I am curious if this 96 VB would work, since it is new and he is giving it to me for a killer price, I will go for it.
