Smile 89 amigo will not start

this has been a long battle for me....
the ignition was left on for about three hours, the next morning the vehicle would not start. coil was burned out, initially tested good. Now there is spark albeit weak. i can put gasoline into intake and it will run and then quit. 45psi at fuel rail, there is a pulse to the injectors from the computer..... all seems to be ok, yet it will not run, timing is on, engine is in good mech shape. after hour and hours of head banging i started following wires. along the battery cable next to the fuses and the relays under the hood on the right side of the engine three wires which ended in two terminal eyes that were supposed to be grounded to the intake manifold below and to the right of the "I TEC" casting were broken off, I assume these were ground for the injectors and my ignition system. i replaced the terminals and i am in heaven, runs like it should.

hope this helps..
