95 Gr. Am 2.4l Thermostat
Ok I am trying to find the stupid thermostat on a 94 Grand Am 2.4L 4 banger! Where it should be there is none....the one the parts store gave me is way too small! Is it actually located somewhere I am not looking? Or did some bonehead not put one in this car and another bonehead sell me the wrong one? Perplexed in GA!

I'm surprised that the 94 GA has a 2.4L in it. That engine never existed until the end of 1995. Until then the quad for was only a 2.3L, and it was different from the 2.4 to a certain degree.

I presume you mean the 2.3, like mark said the original engine for a '94 was a 2.3, although it is possible a replacement engine was dropped in at some point in time later, like '96, [the 2.4] if/when the 2.3 fried, but that wasn't factory original drop-in. Are U sure it the 2.4? Any way sending a link for the therm.'s on the 94's and up. just a side area, the 2.4 isn't listed until '96 as standard engine avail.

and unfortunately the easiest way to change the thermostat on the quad 4's is from under the car
